Is it Converged AV or just a Netcentric Design? What is the difference? Is there a difference? The AV industry is currently awash with AoIP (Anything over IP) devices. Dante and AES67 are the go to options for audio; and video has H.264, Jpeg2000 and a number of other codecs that are becoming mainstream.

This raises the question: are we really converging our AV systems into one cohesive system or are we just redesigning our infrastructure to simply support a new type of technology?
